Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 20 August 2026

These terms cover your use of BazaarKit — the free core plugin and the paid add-ons. Please read them before you buy. If you have a question about anything here, ask us first: info@bazaarkit.online.

1. Who we are

BazaarKit is an independent WordPress plugin suite for WooCommerce and Dokan, developed and maintained in the United Kingdom. You can reach us at info@bazaarkit.online.

BazaarKit is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by weDevs (Dokan), Automattic, or WooCommerce. Those names are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used here only to describe what our software works with.

2. Purchases are handled by Freemius

We do not take your payment ourselves. All purchases of BazaarKit add-ons are sold by Freemius Inc., who acts as the Merchant of Record. That means Freemius is the legal seller for your transaction, and they handle payment processing, invoicing, applicable sales tax and VAT, subscription billing, and refunds.

When you buy, you also enter into Freemius's own checkout terms and End User Licence Agreement, which are shown to you at the point of purchase. Where those terms govern the transaction itself, they take precedence over these terms.

Your account and licences. Manage your licences, invoices, payment method and downloads at any time at customers.freemius.com. You do not need to contact us to cancel a subscription or download an invoice.

3. The free core

The BazaarKit free core is released under the GNU General Public License v2 or later. You may use it on any number of sites, modify it, and study it, on the terms of that licence. It is provided free of charge and without warranty.

4. Paid add-ons and your licence

Each paid add-on is sold either as a monthly subscription or as part of the lifetime bundle. Your purchase gives you:

The PHP in our plugins is licensed under the GPL. Your licence key is what entitles you to updates and support — it is not a restriction on the code itself. Please do not share or resell your licence key; doing so is a breach of these terms and we may deactivate a key that is being shared.

Lifetime licences

"Lifetime" means a one-off payment with no renewals, covering updates and support for as long as we continue to publish the product. It does not mean a guarantee that the product will be maintained forever. If we ever discontinue BazaarKit, we will say so publicly and give reasonable notice, and your last released version remains yours to keep using.

5. Refunds and cancellation

Every paid add-on and the bundle carry a 14-day money-back guarantee. Within 14 days of purchase you can ask for a full refund — you do not have to give a reason, and we will not ask you to justify it.

After the first 14 days

What happens next depends on what you bought.

We would rather you cancelled early than paid for something you have stopped using. If you forget to cancel and notice a renewal you did not want soon after it is taken, write to us — we are not going to be difficult about an obvious mistake, even though the policy above does not oblige us to refund it.

How to do either

Cancelling is immediate and self-service in your Freemius account. For a refund, email info@bazaarkit.online or raise it in the same place; payments and refunds are handled by Freemius as the merchant of record, so the money returns by the route it arrived.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights. If you are a consumer in the UK or EU you have separate cancellation rights under consumer law, and where those give you more than this policy does, they win. The checkout explains them at the point of sale.

6. Support

Support is provided by email at info@bazaarkit.online while your licence is active. We aim to reply within two working days, though we are a small team and cannot promise a guaranteed response time.

Support covers our own software: installation, configuration, bugs and questions about how BazaarKit works. It does not cover:

If you want work done on your own site, that is a separate paid engagement — get in touch and we will quote.

7. What you agree not to do

8. Money handled by our escrow add-on

The Stripe Connect Escrow add-on helps your marketplace hold vendor payouts and release them on your own rules. To be clear about where responsibility sits: we never hold, receive or control your money or your vendors' money. Funds move between your own Stripe account and your vendors' connected accounts, under your Stripe agreement.

You remain responsible for how you configure it, for your own terms with your vendors and buyers, and for your obligations to them. We strongly recommend testing the full money path in Stripe test mode before going live.

9. Warranty and liability

We work hard to make BazaarKit reliable, and it runs on real marketplaces handling real money. But software is software: it is provided "as is", without any warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will fit a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these terms or your use of BazaarKit is limited to the amount you paid us for the product in the 12 months before the claim.

We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, this section does not affect your statutory rights.

Back up your site. Any plugin that touches orders, payouts or shipping can affect live data. Take a full backup and test on a staging copy before installing on a production marketplace.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. The "last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version. Material changes will not be applied retroactively to a purchase you have already made.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of your own country's law.
