Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 August 2026
The short version: this website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and does not track you. When you buy, your payment details go to Freemius, never to us. When you install our plugin, your site's data stays on your server.
1. This website
bazaarkit.online sets no cookies and runs no analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no session tracking and no local storage. You can browse the whole site without leaving us any record of who you are.
Two things do happen automatically, and you should know about them:
- Server logs. Our web host records standard access logs — IP address, the page requested, timestamp, browser user-agent. These exist for security and troubleshooting, are not used to profile anyone, and are rotated by the host.
- Google Fonts. The site loads its typefaces from Google's font service, which means your browser makes a request to
fonts.googleapis.comandfonts.gstatic.com, and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. This is Google's processing, governed by their privacy policy.
2. When you buy
We do not process payments and we never see your card details. Purchases are handled by Freemius Inc. as Merchant of Record. They collect what they need to sell to you and to meet their tax obligations — typically your name, email address, billing country, VAT number if you give one, and payment details.
As the seller of record, Freemius is the data controller for that transaction. Their privacy policy governs it.
What we see, as the product developer, is limited to the customer and licence information Freemius shows us in our developer dashboard: your name, email address, country, which product and plan you bought, and the sites your licence is activated on. We use it to provide support, to honour your licence, and to email you about the product you bought.
3. When you email us
If you email info@bazaarkit.online we keep the correspondence so we can help you and refer back to it later. We do not add you to a marketing list because you asked a support question.
4. When you install the plugin
BazaarKit runs on your own WordPress site. Your marketplace's data — your vendors, orders, customers, messages — stays on your server. We have no access to it and it is never sent to us.
Three exceptions:
- Licence checks. Paid add-ons contact Freemius to verify your licence and fetch updates. That exchange identifies your site URL and licence key.
- Optional usage data. The Freemius SDK can ask your permission to share basic environment data (WordPress version, PHP version, active plugins) to help us support the product. This is opt-in — if you decline at activation, nothing is sent.
- The launch-offer price. When you open the BazaarKit add-ons screen, the plugin fetches a small public file on this site to find out whether the founder discount is still running, so the price it shows you is the price the checkout will bill. This one is not opt-in, because a screen quoting a price nobody is charged is worse than one extra request. It sends nothing about your site — no URL, no email, no licence key, no identifier — and the only thing our server sees is the IP address any HTTP request reveals. The answer is cached for twelve hours.
As the site owner, you remain the data controller for your own marketplace and your own users.
5. The demo site
demo.bazaarkit.online is a public sandbox running a standard WordPress install. Do not enter real personal data, real card numbers or anything confidential into it. It may be wiped or reset at any time without notice, and anything you put in it may be visible to other visitors.
6. Who we share data with
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising. The parties involved in running the product are:
- Freemius — sales, licensing, invoicing and the customer portal.
- Our web host — serving this site and the demo.
- Our email provider — delivering support replies and transactional email.
7. How long we keep things
Licence and customer records are kept for as long as your licence is live, and afterwards for as long as we need them for tax and accounting purposes. Support email is kept while it is useful for supporting you. Server logs are short-lived and rotated by the host.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR and the EU GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it. Email info@bazaarkit.online and we will deal with it.
For data held by Freemius as the seller of record, you can also exercise those rights directly with them, or through your account portal.
If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or to your local supervisory authority in the EU.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date at the top changes with it.
